Dale has called professionally for 35 years in the USA and foreign countries and calls full time. Dale has been caller and master of ceremonies at several state conventions and has assisted Hilton in professionally sounding halls at National Conventions.

Dale calls and sings square dances weekly for five clubs: in St. Cloud, Barefoot Bay, and Melbourne, Florida as well as many states, and overseas.

Dale is a member of the International CallerLab Association, Overseas Dancers Association, and Florida Callers Association. Dale has been a board member of the Florida Callers Association for four years and is currently serving as most recent  Past President.

In his youth he sang with country bands in the Ozarks of Missouri.  Dale attended the Columbia School of Broadcasting and was a disk jockey on Armed Forces Radio during his Air Force career.  Along with his weekly calling schedule, Dale "MAC" McClary, has been a part-time radio disk jockey at a local station that plays swing and big band music.
